Yesha Patel is an Associate Attorney at Butterfield Schechter LLP, where she focuses her practice on litigation and transactional matters arising under the Employment Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 and business law.
From a young age, Yesha enjoyed helping others and found a sense of fulfillment in doing so. She always knew she wanted to pursue a career path that would consistently allow her to do exactly that. In high school, Yesha enrolled into a “Introduction to Law” class, which sparked her interest in the legal system and allowed her to foresee an exciting future in the legal field. At the same time, Yesha began working in healthcare and assisted patients injured by others, and often found herself wanting to do more and advocate for others. From that point onwards, as the goal-oriented individual she is, Yesha dedicated all her efforts into becoming an attorney, while simultaneously helping as many people as she could along the way. Yesha remains active in the community and has volunteered with several organizations including the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and Community Law Project.
Before law school, Yesha attended University of Toronto for her undergraduate studies and graduated with honors. Thereafter, she chose to attend California Western School of Law to fulfill her childhood dream of living in California. She graduated in April, 2022 with several accomplishments such as being on the Dean's Honor Roll, serving on the Executive Board of the American Constitution Society, and earning an Academic Achievement Award for receiving the highest grade in her Advanced Legal Research class. In an effort to continue helping others, Yesha also worked as a Westlaw Student Representative in her final year of law school, through which she assisted students all across campus with legal research and cultivated an efficient approach to doing legal research.
Apart from her academic achievements, Yesha worked as a law clerk for several law firms specializing in a wide array of litigation and transactional matters including employment and labor law, personal injury, real estate law, business litigation, and estate planning.
In her spare time, Yesha enjoys cooking, exploring the city, and spending quality time with family and friends.
